We charge shipping at cost.
We use a carrier to ship our products or we can arrange for customers to pick up orders by appointment at our facility at 2470 Dunrobin Road Dunrobin On K0A1T0 We ship all over Canada and also worldwide. Shipping to USA and other countries we process manually to ensure that we get the correct customs documentation. Request a quote if you wish something shipped to a country other than Canada.
All our prices are FOB Ottawa. Shipping is charged at cost depending on the shipping method and the location in Canada. We charge our customers only what the carrier charges us for shipping, fuel surcharge and any accessorial charges such as residential delivery or use of truck tailgate.
All deliveries require a signature on delivery to accept the shipment.
When you begin the checkout process you may then select whatever method you prefer. The on line store has been set up to estimate shipping on an individual package rate using Canada Post,UPS, Purolator Ground,Loomis Express, Canpar, GLS and Nationex.
Package shipments are processed via COSCO SHIPTIME to obtain the most competitive rates.
For multiple rolls of fencing large rolls of material or kits with heavy steel posts we will require to obtain a quote from a trucking company.
At checkout you will receive a message to contact us for the shipping quote before placing your order. LTL truck delivery is via Day & Ross Transport FedEx Ground/Freight depending on area served and best quotation.
Alternatively You can still order online even if shipping quote is required, select store pick up which will not include shipping we can then seek the best shipping option for you. Let you know the shipping cost add the specific shipping cost quoted on your estimate prior to shipping.
To qualify for business to business rates you must include a business name in the delivery address or state that the deliver address is a farm address.
If a customer is close to a major trucking depot then we can arrange for depot pickup which is usually cheaper.
Tailgate use on delivery. We package everything in easily manageable packages (less than 75lbs) so that one person can off load. We do not use pallets unless the customer informs us that they have a forklift to offload.
Rural areas and islands attract higher shipping charges ( carriers can charge double the rate, beyond charges, going to an area not on the main route) you probably know this yourself from past experience when ordering goods. If this is the case please contact us and request a detailed quote for what you require and we will work out the lowest possible shipping charge for you. Alternatively supply us with a drop ship point such as local depot and we ship there.
Note: Many carriers DO NOT deliver to an address which is a Range Road, if your address is XXX Range Road you will need to supply us with the nearest depot that accepts your bulk packages.
Returns
Deer Fence Canada Inc is confident that you will be highly satisfied with our products, accessories and tools.
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, we will accept unused material in original packaging at anytime within 30 days of original shipment. Returns made after 30 days may be subject to a 20% restocking charge to cover no recoverable credit card fees and other expenses.No returns accepted after 90 days.
DIY products that have been installed then dismantled are not eligible for return. Steel products eg fence posts/gates are non-returnable
Customers who return products will be required to pay for all shipping charges and these will be deducted from any refunds for materials. Shipping charges include the initial delivery charge and the return shipping charge. Any product damage incurred during return shipping will be charged to the customer.
Please Note: Fence posts and Sleeves and gates are not returnable.
Electrical items with a manufacturers warranty may require the item to be returned to an address in the USA. This can be difficult and time consuming. Please contact us before you engage in this route and we will do our very best to help you with the process or if possible give you a Canadian address for the return. Upon receipt of returned products, customers will be credited the purchase price less shipping charges and any restocking charges that may apply.
